A new uniform data protection law has been in force in Europe since May 25, 2018. Since this date, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) which entered into effect in 2016 must be applied by all EU member states. The protection of personal data is thereby strengthened and made uniform across the EU.
